Navin Sinha Selected to Oversee Financial and Accounting Functions of Tribal Government and Non-Gaming Entities
Corning, Calif. – (December 01, 2020) – The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians announced today the appointment of Navin Sinha as Chief Financial Officer. With 25 years of experience in the finance field, Sinha will sit on the tribal office staff and work with both Chief Executive Officer Damon Safranek and the Tribal Council on developing and implementing strategies for maintaining and enhancing the financial health of the Tribe. He will be succeeding former CFO Pat Mercier and managing the Tribal Government’s finance department in the role.

Before his appointment within the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, Sinha was General Manager and CFO for the Quileute Tribe, where he focused on the economic development of the Tribe, its members, and the community while protecting, enhancing, and promoting tribal sovereignty, culture, tradition, values, language, and respect to elders. He was Senior Finance Controller for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians from 2014 to 2018 and has also worked as a Senior Financial Executive for Volt Information Sciences, Inc. and R Systems, Inc.
Sinha brings to the Paskenta Tribe comprehensive executive expertise in finance and accounting as well as a proven aptitude for identifying effective solutions to streamline processes, ensure compliance and reduce overall cost. He graduated with an M.B.A of Finance from California State University at Sacramento, has earned several industry certifications to date, and worked as part-time faculty in the accounting department at California State University at Fullerton.
