Our Foundation's Impact
Our Vision
Our vision is to create and sustain a thriving community for generations to come.
Our Mission
The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians through the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation is committed to supporting efforts in solidarity with our values through strengthening partnerships and dedicating resources to organizations and endeavors that encourage growth, self-sufficiency, and a prosperous future by empowering our local and indigenous communities.
About the Foundation
Tax revenue from the Rolling Hills Casino and Resort allows the Tribe to give back to its community through funding for the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation, our local nonprofit organization that supports the community’s health, safety, and educational efforts.
To date, the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation has given more than $9 million in grants to programs in Tehama County, and throughout the North State.
For example, the foundation helped support the purchase of a 75-foot aerial ladder truck by Corning Fire Department and a squad car for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or CAL FIRE.
Other organizations that have benefited from the foundation's support include, among others:
- The Red Bluff Chamber of Commerce
- Flowers for Seniors
- Soroptimist International of Red Bluff
- Tehama Creatives
- Toys for Tots
- California Highway Patrol’s “CHiPs for Kids” Toy Drive
- Northern Valley Harm Reduction Coalition
- Girls Inc. of Northern Sacramento Valley
- The Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada chapter
The Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation supports its annual traditions of giving through their three annual events, Wish Upon a Par Charity Golf Tournament, Community Food Distribution, and our Season of Giving Initiative.
We host an annual “Wish Upon A Par Charity Golf Tournament” at The Links at Rolling Hills Casino and Resort, where we fundraise with the support of our fellow partners and vendors in partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada chapters. To date, we’ve helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to grant the wishes of the brave and resilient children of the North State.
One of the most important ways we express community care is through our Annual Community Food Distribution event, which helps reduce food insecurity during the holiday season. Each November, the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation warmly welcomes thousands of community members to a drive-thru gathering, where we joyfully provide the essentials to create a holiday meal. We are beyond grateful to be able to share and support our community.
Another annual community contribution is the Season of Giving Initiative, designed to embrace the spirit of compassion and generosity during the holiday season. Each December, the Foundation extends support to select local organizations for the event. Donations include gifting to organizations that host toy drives for local children and provide holiday gifts for seniors, including the Red Bluff Chamber of Commerce, Corning Volunteer Fire Department, and Red Bluff Chips for Kids.
