NOMLAQA BōDA I am Nomlaki

We are Nomlaki – Nomlaqa Bōda

The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians have a long history
that dates back many generations.

The people of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians have a long history of resiliency.

Once a thriving Tribe in an area west of the Sacramento River in what is now Northern California, our ancestors had their land taken from them generations ago by a series of unethical treaties with the United States government as the country expanded westward.

In 1994, the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians was federally re-recognized as a sovereign nation, and we’ve since purchased part of our aboriginal territory near the city of Corning. The return to our roots and time-held Tribal values of integrity, compassion, and cultural respect inspire how we govern our nation. We are united in furthering our own destiny.

Today, our Tribe has close to 300 members and we’re growing, as almost half our population is under the age of 25. While most members live near Tribal lands, we also have members who live across the U.S. and abroad. We have a strong vision for the future of all peoples living in the Corning-Paskenta tribal community.

Our successful Tribal enterprises, including the Rolling Hills Casino & Resort, The Links at Rolling Hills, and the TEPA Companies, empower us to realize our vision. Through financial investment in our community, we also operate the Rolling Hills Health Clinic, to ensure that our members and the larger region have access to the care they need, and the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation, which invests to enhance and improve the lives of people in the local community.
