Corning, California — November 13, 2025 — The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians is proud to announce the completion of Obsidian Way, a newly constructed road that connects Liberal Avenue directly to the Rolling Hills Casino & Resort property. Located directly west of the Rolling Hills Casino & Resort’s Equestrian Center, Obsidian Way represents a significant infrastructure milestone for the Tribe.
This new roadway improves traffic flow, enhances accessibility, and provides an additional, more efficient entry point to the resort. Importantly, Obsidian Way also allows emergency services a direct route into the property, ensuring faster response times and greater safety for guests, employees, and community members. The project underscores the Tribe’s commitment to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and accessibility on tribal lands.
Obsidian Way will be utilized for the first time today as the designated exit route for the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation’s 6th Annual Community Food Distribution, marking an important milestone for both infrastructure and community service.
The Tribe extends its gratitude to North Star Engineering, Walberg Inc. and Chapco Construction for their partnership and to Lynn Siedschlag, Director of Engineering, for leading the project from design through completion.
