Free Sport Fishing License for Native Americans in California:
Native Americans who meet specific eligibility requirements can apply for a free sport fishing license in the state of California. This benefit is provided under Fish and Game Code Section 7151(a)(2). To qualify, applicants must: Have lived continuously in California for the past six months Have no convictions for violations of the California Fish and Game Code Please note: These licenses are not available at retail stores such as Sportsman’s Warehouse or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
